Book Club Friday...

Usually I am thankful that its Friday but it really doesn't make a difference to me anymore because I am ON HOLIDAY! I'm going to keep reminding you cause I'm pretty excited about it OK?
OK.

But Fridays do mean Book Club with Heather which is also pretty exciting...

Fifty Shade Freed by E.L. James
Fifty Shades Freed (Fifty Shades, #3)

Synopsis
When unworldly student Ana Steele first encountered the driven, damaged young entrepreneur Christian Grey, it sparked a sensual affair that changed both their lives irrevocably. Shocked, intrigued, and ultimately repelled by Christian's singular sexual tastes, Ana demanded a deeper commitment; determined to keep her, Christian agreed. Now, together, they have more-love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of infinite possibilities. But Ana always knew that loving her Fifty Shades would not be easy and being together poses challenges neither of them ever anticipated. Ana must somehow learn to share Christian's opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own integrity, identity, or independence; Christian must somehow overcome his compulsion to control and lay to rest the horrors that blighted his past and haunt his present. Just when it seems that together their love can conquer any obstacle, tragedy, malice and fate combine to make Ana's worst nightmares come true.

My Thoughts

Well first up, I'm pretty happy I have finished the trilogy now. I don't have to put up with another one. I'm probably one of the few who didn't love this series. I read them and i will admit they are somewhat addictive, but it didn't make them good.

This one especially I was a little confused about. It felt like at times she had given up on a particular paragraph and just moved on. It was very jumpy, moving quickly from one scene to the next and she didn't execute it very well. I enjoyed the fact that there was a bit more drama, and then the cutesy well rounded ending. But I felt like the whole book was rushing and skipping backwards and forwards in time (which can sometimes be good, but not in this) I have to say the second was the best one, but the trilogy doesn't deserve the mad following it has. I'm pretty sure everyone just loves the sex scenes... And how are they planning on making this into a movie?! Seriously! Mind boggled.

Enjoy your weekends,
and dig in to a book that's a little better than these huh?
*hint* try Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger, I will be reviewing it next week!

Ooh, I've heard good and bad reviews on this one- love that it's so controversial! I haven't jumped on the bandwagon yet, but I might just to see what all the hype is about. Great review!

Hi there!

I totally agree with your review about this book. I did't think the series was anything spectacular but it was just so addictive. I felt like this book wasn't put together properly and it was almost like she didn't know how to fill the spaces and left a lot of stuff hanging.

Great blog!

So happy to hear more about these books than "it's basically Twilight is Edward were human and into S&M" and "it's mommy porn." Books that jump around like you mentioned and don't have a good flow bug the bajeezus out of me when I'm reading. I think I'll probably pass on these ones now. Thanks for the honest review!
