Book Club Friday...

Oh Friday! I am so happy to see you!! Guys... I am offcially on holiday!! For a month! Goodbye A semester!!!

And it's time for Book Club with Heather!

SO this week I am reviewing the book chosen for Book Club on the Better Blogger Network (which is pretty awesome!! You should check it out) And we don't discuss it till the end of the month but it was so darn good I couldn't wait!

Divergent by Veronica Roth
Divergent (Divergent, #1)

Synopsis
In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.

During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles to determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes infuriating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers a growing conflict that threatens to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves… or it might destroy her.

My Thoughts
I really enjoyed this book! It reminded me of The Hunger Games because its set in a dystopian future, and the main character is a kick-ass 16 year old. But that's where the comparisons stop, its not a rip off. Its a really clever, fun to read book.

Exciting and fast paced, you are sucked in straight away and are always wanting to know what is going to happen!! I'm already reading the second one! The romance between Tris and Four is quite realistic too (as realistic as it can be) and you totally root for them. And so far theres no nasty love triangles that sneak up and ruin things!

Definitely one to check out! I highly reccomend it if you like YA fiction!

Saying "hi" from the Book Club hop.
I LOVED Divergent. I just finished the second book and it's even better. So yeah, now I'm in the hell of waiting for book #3 to be released.

Matched is good YA fiction too. It starts a little slow but is quite good.
