{About Your Blog!}

What Was The Inspiration Behind Your Blog?
I started reading a lot of blogs at the end of last year and by January I was obsessed! If I found a great new blog I would read every single post back to when the blog was started. In January I was living in a really small town while my boyfriend did work experience. I didn't know anyone and I was sick of watching TV and reading other people's blogs all day so I decided to start my own.

What Is Your Favourite Part of the Blogging Experience so Far?
Finding other great blogs and having Sinead as a blogging buddy! I also love participating in link ups.

What Impact Does Blogging Have on Your Life?
I like feeling like I actually know the people behind the blog. It's like we're actually friends even though we have never met in real life. I find it's also a great way to procrastinate doing assignments. Oops!

{About You!}

What Are Some of Your Favourite Hobbies?
Blogging and Baking

What is Your Favourite Season? Why?
Summer because it's warm and sunny - I hate the cold!

What Are Your Current Obsessions?
Baking. I bake way too much for my boyfriend to eat. It's becoming a problem, I'll have to offload some of it to other people. Any takers?

Take her up on the baking offer! Trust me! I had her caramel slice once and it was amazing!!
And go check out her blog! You're Welcome....

On Your Screen...

Here we go with week 3 of On Your Screen!! Last week we had some amazing link-ups and I'm hoping you will join us again!!

Life As I Know It

This week I am reviewing a film that I found HILARIOUS!

Bad Teacher

If you love Cameron Diaz and Jason Segal then this movie is for you!! They are both amazing in it and it's so funny! It is admitedly a bit cheesy and some of the humour is obvious (in true Hollywood fashion) but it still has some great stand-out moments. Its worth watching.

A comedy centered around Elizabeth; a foul-mouthed, junior high teacher who, after being dumped by her sugar daddy, begins to woo a colleague -- a move that pits her against a well-loved teacher.

It is a little crude though, definitely not one to watch with your parents in the room (as I learnt first-hand) but if you don't take offence at swearing and a few 'dodgy' scenes then you will enjoy it! The soundtrack is pretty awesome and fits the scenes really well, and the acting by all cast members is great. My personal favourite is Phyllis Smith playing Elizabeth's work friend, she is beyond hilarious and plays her part so well!!

I really enjoyed the film, and I have since watched it again. Still funny!
Have you seen it?

Young & Restless...

As I have mentioned about a bajillion times, I am currently on holiday from my studies and in general I'm loving it. Although every now and again I find myself feeling I should be doing more, experiencing more, seeing more and being more...

Do you ever get that feeling? Like you're restless in your own life?

I have only one semester left of University and then I have to go off and join the real world! And unlike some of you lucky graduates I definitely don't have a guaranteed job at the end of it. If I want to do what I love, I have to fight with thousands of others for a job in the media industry, and even then who knows.

I'm a very safe person. I don't like doing crazy, reckless things, it freaks me out. So the thought of moving to a new country, or trying to get a legitimate job is scary. But I know it has to happen at some point.

I have always wanted to travel and see some of the most famous places in the world, and now that I'm "grown up" I guess it's time to do that. I have a bit of a list of places I am desperate to visit at some point in my life, so I thought I would share them with you...

Machu Pichu

It scares me to think of running off and galavanting around the world, but at the same time I am dying to do it. Any ideas for over coming nerves (and money issues)?

What are your "Must See" places?

Book Club Friday...

Usually I am thankful that its Friday but it really doesn't make a difference to me anymore because I am ON HOLIDAY! I'm going to keep reminding you cause I'm pretty excited about it OK?
OK.

But Fridays do mean Book Club with Heather which is also pretty exciting...

Fifty Shade Freed by E.L. James
Fifty Shades Freed (Fifty Shades, #3)

Synopsis
When unworldly student Ana Steele first encountered the driven, damaged young entrepreneur Christian Grey, it sparked a sensual affair that changed both their lives irrevocably. Shocked, intrigued, and ultimately repelled by Christian's singular sexual tastes, Ana demanded a deeper commitment; determined to keep her, Christian agreed. Now, together, they have more-love, passion, intimacy, wealth, and a world of infinite possibilities. But Ana always knew that loving her Fifty Shades would not be easy and being together poses challenges neither of them ever anticipated. Ana must somehow learn to share Christian's opulent lifestyle without sacrificing her own integrity, identity, or independence; Christian must somehow overcome his compulsion to control and lay to rest the horrors that blighted his past and haunt his present. Just when it seems that together their love can conquer any obstacle, tragedy, malice and fate combine to make Ana's worst nightmares come true.

My Thoughts

Well first up, I'm pretty happy I have finished the trilogy now. I don't have to put up with another one. I'm probably one of the few who didn't love this series. I read them and i will admit they are somewhat addictive, but it didn't make them good.

This one especially I was a little confused about. It felt like at times she had given up on a particular paragraph and just moved on. It was very jumpy, moving quickly from one scene to the next and she didn't execute it very well. I enjoyed the fact that there was a bit more drama, and then the cutesy well rounded ending. But I felt like the whole book was rushing and skipping backwards and forwards in time (which can sometimes be good, but not in this) I have to say the second was the best one, but the trilogy doesn't deserve the mad following it has. I'm pretty sure everyone just loves the sex scenes... And how are they planning on making this into a movie?! Seriously! Mind boggled.

Enjoy your weekends,
and dig in to a book that's a little better than these huh?
*hint* try Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger, I will be reviewing it next week!

Opinions...

I love graphic design and blogging so its only natural that I am constantly wanting to change bits and pieces of my blogs design, but I feel like that might get annoying for you guys as readers so I generally refrain.

However lately I have been thinking this little blog looks a little crowded, especially at the top with my banner and buttons, but before I change anything I want your opinions!

I have also been thinking about changing my blog name. I have seen a couple of others with the same name, and i think its quite generic. I came up with it in a split second when I decided to give blogging a go. I didn't think I would love it so much. I kind of want something more personal. But it would be a huge hassle. What do you guys think? Should I think of something more...me?

What do you think about my layout and designs? Should I change anything? Is there anything you think could improve my little blog? I want your feedback :D

Thanks loves
xx

Oh, How Pinteresting Wednesday...

It's Wednesday again, not that it really makes a difference for me right now. I'm loving forgetting what day it is now that I'm on holiday! Although my bloggy schedule is generally a good reminder!!

I'm linking up with Michelle again...
And this week I'm doing a hairstyle theme as I'm getting my hair cut today!! I haven't had my hair properly styled in soooo long, it usually just gets a trim. But its getting pretty long now, and the ends are quite unhealthy so I am getting some long layers to make it fall nicely and tidy it up! I shall put pictures up tomorrow! (unless it ends badly, then you wont be seeing a photo of me for about a month!)

So here's what caught my pinterest...

So heres hoping my hair ends up looking this awesome (ha in my dreams)!
Do you have any hair tips?

On Your Screen Link-Up!

Hey guys!! It is time for the second On Your Screen link-up!
This week I thought I would let you in on some of my most recent TV obsessions!! Some of them are current, are some are repeat offenders (I love re-watching my favs!)

So here is how I spend most of my free time...

Criminal Minds
via
This is both a current obsession and a repeat-offender. It's one of my all-time favourite shows, I watch the 4 seasons I have on DVD over and over and also watch the current season on TV every Monday night!!

Criminal Minds is both hilarious and a little scary, that's why I love it. The characters are so well developed that you grow attached to them, but they don't take over the episodes with their personal drama. You can easily watch a stand-alone episode and follow it, but knowing the characters adds to the depth.

Pretty Little Liars
via
This show has just started playing its 3rd season and it is getting GOOD. Its a bit cheesy but such a fun show to watch, full of scandal, secrets, and twists!

Plus the fashion on the show is amazing and there are plenty of cute boys to stare at! It's definitely one to check out!!

True Blood
via
If you have never watched True Blood you should go start right now!! (after linking up of course). It is fantastic! The perfect mix of sexy, scary, and comedy. And you get to stare at this for a whole 60 minutes...

Nice huh?!
Season 5 has just started and I'm so excited to see whats to come!! So many twists and turns you actually never know what's going to happen...

Smallville
An oldie but a goodie! I can watch this series over and over again and still love it! Admittedly it does take a while as there are 10 season but its worth it! I have always been a bit of a geek so I love a good superhero story, and this one is great!

Plus its crazy how many actors made appearances in Smallville when they were starting out... There are hundreds!! Its so funny seeing them pop up every now and again.
Amy Adams                 Ian Somerhalder
Colbie Smulders                 Tori Spelling

So this is what I am currently obsessing over... But I'm a TV addict so no doubt there will be more soon!

What are you currently watching?! Link-up you film/TV related posts!
xx
