Finally getting around to planning my birthday dinner, I have been fairly busy with the holidays recently. What with going to the beach, having movie nights, crafting for Parachute and baking I have put off planning anything. But now the plans are in motion and a pot luck dinner is on!
Its finally getting to the end of the holidays (sort of) and I'm attempting to get organised Uni wise, Flat wise, and Studylink wise. This year I only know one of my flatmates and the other 3 girls are random, but they seem really nice so I think this year will end up being fun! My friends are living in the house just down the road as well so it should make for some fun parties.
I'm picking out my camera tomorrow, I thought I had decided on one but now I have found some other really good ones. I think my issue is that they are all so pretty! But definitely glad it will be a birthday present, I would not be able to afford it otherwise!

Had a fairly busy couple of days, I played indoor netball on tuesday night for my mums team which was awesome cause I haven't played in so long! Then Wednesday I spent most of the day at my friend Alanna's helping her make crafts to sell at her stall Chaos & Colour at Parachute this weekend. I spent most of the time making cute bunting flags out of atlases, they are completely adorable! Then I was off to my dad's house for the night where I endured hours of breaking down Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone to a 4 year old. Now I love Harry Potter as much the next girl, probably more to be honest, I'm fairly obsessed. But there is only so many times you can explain Voldemort was Quirrells second face because he was a baddy who wanted the stone to get a new body.
As I said before, Parachute is this weekend and I am extremely depressed that I will not be there :( Relient K and The Rocket Summer will be playing and I love these bands but I am just too poor to go! And of course my sister is going, just to rub it in my face :/ Fingers crossed the bands love New Zealand so much that they come back for their own shows, but only when I have more money. On the brightside, I am going to Taylor Swift and Florence and the Machine this year, which will be super exciting!!

Mondays, even when your on holiday there is just something so annoying about the first day of the week. It really doesn't make a difference to me what day it is, because I live a very boring and very relaxed life, but still... Mondays, Eurgh.
Finally caved in the process of applying for Studylink and rang them. Found myself on hold for 3 full songs, which were of course New Zealand songs from around 10 years ago. They were then no help what-so-ever. However if I don't get the allowance I will probably be homeless in less than a month.
I am going to see the second Sherlock Holmes movie tonight with some friends, I enjoyed the first one so hopefully this one will add to the long list of disappointing sequels. I will report back with details tomorrow :D

Everything Has to Have a Beginning...
I have honestly been sitting in front of my computer for the past 2 hours thinking about what I am going to say in my very first post. Instead of being super creative and poetic, I was reading pages and pages of other people's creative and poetic posts. So I have decided that poetic is not really my thing. Instead I am going to write purely about the things that happen to me, the things I love and the people who inspire me.
My name is Sinead, I am 19 years old and I live in New Zealand. I am a University student studying Screen Media and Theatre, this sort of hints at the things I'm obsessed with...
I have always watched way too many movies and too much television, and now studying it is my excuse to watch more! But trust me, its not always a good thing. I can't tell you how many times I have noticed a strange camera angle, or a really bad editing sequence and have found it ruins the whole scene for me. The same goes with acting hehe, I find myself watching someone in a scene and screaming 'what are you doing?! That's not the right emotion, I could do that so much better!' This is however, probably not the case.
This post will eventually be accompanied by pictures I have taken of little things I notice, or exciting events, however there will be a waiting period, because as of yet I do not own a camera. BUT it is my birthday in exactly 2 weeks and I am convincing my parents to buy me one :) I would have purchased one a long time ago but I am the epitome of the 'poor student' stereotype so this was not an option.
For now I will leave you with this,
My life is in no way exciting; I'm poor, I'm unemployed, I'm a 19 year old with braces, I'm secretly a huge geek (more on this later), and I have never been in love. But I have amazing friends, I thoroughly enjoy my studies (most of the time), I make time for my family, and I find excitement in the smallest of things!
